Hey! My name is Ashleigh Ginich, I am 16 years old and live in WA. My mum Jo Kramer (formally Ginich) is the brillaint mind behind Arjai Whippets! Having grown up with dogs my whole life naturally I have a love for them! I have been going to dog shows with mum since I can't remember, and I have handled dogs since ;The Legal Age" of 7 years old. Although, I have to admit sometimes mum did let me show the dogs when I was only 6 because I use to beg! but that can be our secret! and thats how it all started and I have never looked back! My first show dog was Aust Ch Arjai Recurring Dreams (Nova), her litter was the first one I watched being born. I loved her from the start she was the fattest and cutest puppy out of them all! I showed her consistantly for 7 years and in those 7 years I have memories that will last forever! Three Most Memorable moments! Number one would have to be my first Best in Show! I was 8 years old as this was a cash show the price was $170.00 dollars! I was the happiest kid on the planet!! Second was winning Runner Up in Show at Shepparton when I was about 10! The thing that made this win so significent to me was the fact that I had beaten Mums top winning bitch Aust Grand Ch Arjai Fields O' Passion (Tori), it was the first and only time this happened but I was wrapped! Thirdly, and most importantly was Nova winning the 2001 Victorian Whippet Specialty Show. I have to admit Nova doesnt really enjoy showing that often but there is something about Whippet Specialties which brings her to life! I was 11 and I cryed my eyes out when I won!! So did my mum bless her!! The photo in National Dog has us crying! Not an attractive look! Anyway that will be something I remember for the rest of my life! Now that I am 16 yrs old, I have to admit I have found many other interests besides dog shows! Boys, parties, the usual lol! But there is one thing that keeps me going back and that is my Siberian Husky - Aust Ch Krisaido Kid (Kid). Kid was kindly given to me by Jenny Campbell and Ian Mercer (Koolmove Siberians) if it had not been for Kid i probably would go to even less shows then I already do! Kid is BEAUTIFUL!! I love him to bits and he has done very well for me so far, having won the 2005 November Syndey Siberian Husky Show! An All breeds Best In Show and an All Breeds Runner Up In Show! But besides the show ring Kid is the best Sibe ever! Actually he isnt much like a sibe at all having grown up with Whippets I think he is quite confused as to what he really is!! But we love him all the same! Well other then showing in conformation ring I also have competed in Junior Handlers and have been very successfull if I may say so myself.
